The CampusPrint Canon iR-ADV C5535i has replaced the Canon iR4035 in room 5140. Other existing printers that use the CSB CUPS printing system are not affected. To access CampusPrint from MacOS and Windows systems, a new printer driver must be installed. For Linux workstations, the CampusPrint printer is already installed and configured in the CSB CUPS printer system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CampusPrint Features<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pay-per-use pricing model. Each user is associated with a COA\/POET charge number. Contact Karen Davis to set up the charge numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Secure printing using your Vanderbilt ID\/Commodore Card.<\/li>\n<li>Campus-wide access. Submit your job and print it at any CampusPrint-enabled device.<\/li>\n<li>Energy-efficient machines stocked with environmentally-friendly FSC\u00ae certified paper.<\/li>\n<li>Multi-function devices, combining copy, print (color\/B&amp;W), scan, and fax (most devices) in one machine.<\/li>\n<li>Unlimited training and support for administrators and users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have submitted a job to CampusPrint:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to any CampusPrint-enabled device. No other configuration is necessary.<\/p>\n<p>To print in an application:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click \u2018Print\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Select the \u2018CampusPrint_Global_Secure\u2019 printer.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018OK\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: Currently, Pharos does not support multiple Linux print queues for color\/B&amp;W and single\/double-sided.\u00a0 Use the print dialog in your application to select the document attributes you want.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MacOS Installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note:\u00a0 You will need to install the <a href=\"https:\/\/newreef.csb.vanderbilt.edu\/printing\/CampusPrint_Global_POPUP.dmg\">Mac OS Pop-Up driver<\/a>\u00a0if your Mac OS username is not the same as your VUnetID.\u00a0 Click on the DMG file you downloaded and them double-click on &#8216;Popup.pkg&#8217; to start the installer, which creates a printer named &#8216;CampusPrint_Global_POPUP&#8217;.\u00a0 You will be prompted for your VUnetID and ePassword each time you print.<\/p>\n<p>To install the regular Mac OS driver if your Mac OS username is the same as your VUnetID:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the printer driver file.\u00a0 Right click on the following link and select &#8216;Save Link As&#8230;&#8217;: <a href=\"https:\/\/newreef.csb.vanderbilt.edu\/printing\/C5235.ppd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C5253.ppd<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Open System Preferences.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018+\u2019 to add a new printer.\u00a0 Click on the &#8216;IP&#8217; tab and enter the following:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Address: vcit-wnap022.ds.vanderbilt.edu<br \/>\nProtocol: Line Printer Daemon &#8211; LPD<br \/>\nQueue: CampusPrint_Global_SECURE<br \/>\nName: CampusPrint<br \/>\nLocation: 5140 MRB3<br \/>\nUse: Other<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select the printer driver file that you downloaded in step 1.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Open\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Add\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Windows Installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note: You must install a Windows Pop-Up driver if your Windows computer is NOT joined to the VANDERBILT domain.\u00a0 Click <a href=\"https:\/\/newreef.csb.vanderbilt.edu\/printing\/Campus_Print_Global_Popup_Legacy_for_x64.exe\">here<\/a> for the Windows 7 \/ 10 driver.<\/p>\n<p>If your Windows system is NOT connected to the VANDERBILT domain:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Double click the Pop-Up driver you downloaded.<\/li>\n<li>You may see a Windows Defender pop-up alert, just click &#8216;Run anyway&#8217;.<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8216;Install&#8217; when the package installer window appears.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8216;Finish&#8217; once the installer completes.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8216;Campus_Print_Global_PopupLegacy&#8217; printer will now be available for printing from your Windows system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If your Windows system is connected to the VANDERBILT domain:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open \u2018Control Panel\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Devices and Printers\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Add a Printer\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Select a shared printer by name.<\/li>\n<li>Type \u2018\\\\vcit-wnap022.ds.vanderbilt.edu\\CampusPrint_Global_SECURE\u2019 in the text box.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Next\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Windows will download and install the driver.\u00a0 Click \u2018Next\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, select this to be the default printer.\u00a0 Click \u2018Finish\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Can I print from off-campus locations?<\/em> Yes, if you are connected to the campus VPN using SecurePulse.<\/li>\n<li><em>What if I don&#8217;t have my Vanderbilt ID\/Commodore Card with me?<\/em>\u00a0 You can enter your VUnetID and ePassword using the printer keyboard.<\/li>\n<li><em>I installed the Regular Pop-Up driver for Windows 10, but I&#8217;m not able to print.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t get a pop-up window to enter my VUnetID and ePassword.<\/em>\u00a0 Install the Legacy Pop-Up driver instead and make sure to print to the Legacy printer.<\/li>\n<li><em>How do I check the status of my job or delete jobs without going to a printer?<\/em>\u00a0 You can view and delete your jobs at <a href=\"https:\/\/vcit-wnap029.ds.vanderbilt.edu\/myprintcenter\/\">My Print Center<\/a>.\u00a0 DO NOT upload documents using My Print Center.\u00a0 The billing is not set up correctly and you will be billed too much.\u00a0 e.g. $0.25 per page for color instead of $0.14.<\/li>\n<li><em>What happens to print jobs I never actually print<\/em>? Jobs are removed after 24 hours if they have not been printed.<\/li>\n<li><em>Can anyone else see or print my jobs?<\/em> No, your jobs are secured by your Vanderbilt ID\/Commodore Card.<\/li>\n<li><em>Can I print personal documents using CampusPrint?<\/em> No, for personal printing use Vanderbilt\u2019s pay-for-print service VUPrint.<\/li>\n<li><em>Can I print documents to the service using lp or lpr from the Linux command line?<\/em> Yes, just as you would to other printers such as color, im, etc. You should see \u2018CampusPrint_Global_SECURE\u2019 as an available printer when you type \u2018lpstat -a\u2019. To print to CampusPrint, use \u2018lp -d CampusPrint_Global_SECURE filename\u2019 or \u2018lpr -P CampusPrint_Global_SECURE filename\u2019.<\/li>\n<li><em>Does a Mac OS system need to be joined to the VANDERBILT domain?<\/em>\u00a0 No, but the username on your Mac must be the same as your VUnetID.\u00a0 If your Mac OS username is not the same as your VUnetID,\u00a0 you will need to install the Mac OS Pop-Up driver.<\/li>\n<li><em>I installed the Mac OS driver.\u00a0 Why don&#8217;t my jobs don&#8217;t show up in my print queue?<\/em> . From any device, including cellphones or tablets, users can forward an email with an attachment to print.black@vanderbilt.edu (black and white) or print.color@vanderbilt.edu (full color). A single copy of the attachment will appear in the user\u2019s CampusPrint queue and can be released at any card reader-enabled CampusPrint device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">To join your PC to the Vanderbilt domain:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Note:\u00a0 Your\u00a0PC must first be registered in Active Directory.
