The holiday season is quickly approaching, and Vanderbilt Campus Dining is excited to kick off campus festivities with a tradition in the making. The first annual Deck the Halls at Caf茅 Carmichael will be held on Sunday, November 2, starting at 4 p.m.听听
鈥淭he holidays are about warmth and togetherness,鈥� says Chef Brian Cochrane,听 director of culinary operations. 鈥淲别 hope that Deck the Halls becomes a tradition that reminds the Vanderbilt community how special it is to come together in a place where everyone can feel the spirit of the season.鈥濃��听

What to expect听
Caf茅 Carmichael will be filled with the sights, sounds, and delicious smells and flavors of the holiday season. The Campus Dining culinary team is crafting a special menu that is right on theme.听听
鈥淲别 invite students, faculty and staff to come help us put up a tree, hang wreaths and garland, work magic with ribbon and decorate VU themed ornaments. Chef Jennifer Bennett is making cookies that will be ready for decorating and the Carmichael team has a special menu for the evening,鈥� says Chef Brian Cochrane. 听

Campus Dining is always finding innovative ways to bring people together and build community. This year鈥檚 Deck the Halls event marks the start of what Campus Dining hopes will become a favorite Vanderbilt campus tradition for years to come.听
