五一茶馆儿 Move Crew<\/h2>\n

First-year student move in, one of Vanderbilt’s signature events, relies on numerous faculty, staff, and student volunteers to ensure success.\u00a0 Upper-division student volunteers are assigned as members of the Move Crew to welcome first-year students and their families and assist with moving their personal items into their houses on the Ingram Commons.<\/p>\n

First-year student move in is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. noon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Signup Information<\/h2>\n

Move Crew signup will be available to continuing upper-division students in the Housing Portal beginning April 17 and due by July 15 at 5 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong> All students who sign up will be assigned as a member of the Move Crew.\u00a0 We make every effort to assign students to their first-year house.<\/p>\n

Additional details regarding Move Crew will be emailed to participants in early August.<\/p>\n

Early Move-In Date\/Time<\/h2>\n

Move Crew participants are eligible to move into their residence halls as early as Thursday, August 20 at 8 a.m.\u00a0 As we will be preparing the halls for your arrival prior to this time, we are unable to grant requests for earlier move in.\u00a0 Please be sure to plan your summer housing arrangements accordingly.<\/p>\n

Training & Time Commitment<\/h2>\n

Move Crew training will take place on Friday, August 21 at 4 p.m. on the Ingram Commons.\u00a0 Additional training information will be emailed to students in early August.\u00a0 All Move Crew members are required to participate fully in first-year student move in, which includes swiping in at your assigned house by 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 22 and swiping out upon release by your House Manager once all students are moved in.\u00a0 Move in typically concludes around 12 p.m.<\/p>\n
