Overview

Lacey Peycke, class of 2029, is majoring in Biomedical Engineering with minors in Digital Fabrication and Neuroscience. She joined VINSE in the summer of 2026, where she worked on shape memory polymer micro-transfer printing as well as improving VINSE’s procedures for thick and multilayered SU-8. In addition to her cleanroom work, Lacey is beginning work in the Gonzales lab, where she will focus on using brain-computer interfaces, namely 2-photon microscopy and implanted electrode arrays, to further our understanding of learning. She is also active in several student organizations on campus, including the IEEE Robotics Team and the Neurotech Club, and volunteers at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Ultimately, she hopes to pursue an MD-Ph.D.
