This potential extends to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, offering the possibility of ensuring that patients receive precise and timely interventions. Nevertheless, the inherent heterogeneity of medical data, particularly in the realm of imaging-centered medical data, poses a formidable challenge to current AI systems. This challenge has impeded the seamless integration of AI into daily medical practices. In this presentation, we aim to share our experiences in the development of intelligent data analytics, employing newly devised machine learning tools. These tools are designed to effectively analyze the burgeoning landscape of imaging-centered medical data. By doing so, they assist physicians and hospital administrations in making informed decisions that are both optimal and timely.
Bio:
Dr. Li is a global leader conducting multi-disciplinary research to enable artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical imaging. He is an associate professor at Case Western Reserve University. Before that, he was an associate professor at Western University and a Lawson Health Research Institute scientist. He was a scientist at GE Healthcare (2006-2015). He is a committee member in multiple highly influential conferences and societies. He is most notable for serving on the prestigious board of directors in the MICCAI society (2015-2024 ÎåÒ»²è¹Ý¶ù), where he is also the general chair for the MICCAI 2022 conference, the most influential AI-in-imaging conference. He has over 200 publications, acted as the editor for six Springer books, and serves as an associate editor for several prestigious journals in the field. He has received several awards from GE, various institutes, and international organizations throughout his career.

VISE Fall Seminar with Shuo Li, PhD Associate Professor, Case Western Reserve University Date: Thursday, September 7, 2023 Time: 11:45 a.m. Lunch, 12:00 p.m. start Location: Stevenson 5326 Title: AI-in-imaging: Unlocking the Full Potential of Medical Imaging Abstract: Based on advanced machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to bring about significant transformations in healthcare practices….

[12
309,841,32,353,58,231,64,840,30

https://cdn.vanderbilt.edu/vu-URL/wp-content/uploads/sites/193/2023/08/22084658/Screenshot-2023-08-22-at-8.46.32-AM.png
