The Planning, Design, and Construction Department oversees a variety of projects ranging from small renovations and renewals to large capital projects. To provide the best quality of service for the Vanderbilt community and its customers, it is important that projects be submitted well in advance. The team manages over 200 projects during the course of a year so understanding the time required to complete a request is imperative to the project’s success.
** The new deadline for SUMMER WORK is October 15th.
This allows the project team time to understand the scope, obtain funding, complete design, obtain required purchase orders, order materials and be ready to begin construction right after graduation.
*Summer projects entered late will be evaluated on a first come first serve basis based on capacity, however we cannot guarantee a project can be completed within the summer months.
For all projects, please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for your request to be processed, at which point your assigned project manager will reach out to begin work. Â PDC may reach out in advance of a project manager being assigned to ask questions or to better understand the project scope, budget or schedule as part of a more comprehensive initiation process.
