Important Information

All Vanderbilt families are invited to Family Weekend 2026, set for Friday, Sept. 18 – Sunday, Sept. 20. Please read through this important information and helpful suggestions for your visit. For more information, contactÌýparents@vanderbilt.edu.

 

Registration and Cost

Adults and children over 12: $60 per person
Current Vanderbilt students: Free to attend & must be registeredÌý
Children under 12:ÌýFree to attend & must be registeredÌý

  • Registration will open on August 7
    • Step-by-step instructions for registration will be available soon!
    • We encourage you to register before Sept. 18 to avoid a cost increase. However, on-site registration will be available.Ìý
    • Football tickets are not included in Family Weekend registration.Ìý
  • Late fees/cancellations
    • On-site registration will open at 9 a.m. on Sept. 18.
    • An additional $10 per person on-site fee will be included.
    • If you must cancel your registration, please do so by Friday, Sept. 4. No refunds will be made past Sept. 4.

Football Ticket Information

Be on the lookout for purchasing information this summer!

  • Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • If you wantÌýyour VU studentÌýto sit with you in the stadium, you must purchase an additional ticket for them. Students have free seats in the student-only section.
  • Single game parking passes will be available when you purchase tickets.

Ridehail, Parking and Shuttles

With limited parking available on campus, ridehail is a great option to get to and from campus.

Parking

Family Weekend parking permits will need to be visible in your car while parked on campus. Parking passes will be available to download and print or you can pick one up at check-in.

Travel Support

  • Several hotels around the university offer discounts for Vanderbilt families.
  • Southwest Airlines is pleased to offer Vanderbilt Family Weekend 2026 attendees discounted fares. To utilize the discount, .ÌýDiscount valid for travel 9/15/2026 to 9/21/2026.

What to Bring

  • Bring your confirmation email with your QR code to get your nametags.
  • All events are informal.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are a must.Ìý
  • If you are planning to attend the football game, make sure to bring a .

Nametags are required for admittance to events. Vanderbilt students need a nametag as well. Please be sure to register your student!

When You Arrive

Friday Check-In

Be sure to check in for Family Weekend to pick up your nametags and the most up-to-date schedule for the weekend. Nametags are your admittance to all events.Ìý

Saturday Check-In

If you were unable to check-in on Friday, additional times will be available on Saturday to do so. More information to come.Ìý


Gameday

  • All football tickets will be digital/mobile and will be available to access by logging into your .

Appointments

Family Weekend is a perfect time to connect with student services and academic departments. Contact offices directly to schedule an appointment during regular business hours on Friday, Sept. 19. To meet with your student's academic adviser, your student should contact the professor at least two weeks before Family Weekend to schedule an appointment.

Accessibility Needs

Wheelchairs

  • Wheelchairs can be reserved during registration. Please make sure to include as an accessibility/accommodation need.
  • Requests made after Wednesday, Sept. 9 cannot be guaranteed.
  • If you requested a wheelchair when you registered for Family Weekend, you will receive an email with additional information.
  • All wheelchairs must be returned by 11:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available in any marked location with a handicap tag. A Family Weekend parking permit must also be on display.
